It’s a way of communicating, celebrating, connecting & healing.
The drum is a sacred gift from our blessed earth mother, it is a path of personal power & of re-connection.
Each day of the retreat will center on the elements, Water, Earth, Air and Fire, with ceremonies, foods and practices to reconnect with each element. Learn a new rhythm through daily yoga, nourishment, communal support, and meditation; while learning the rhythm of your renewed heart beat through the Drum.
Our bodies, minds and souls respond to the beat and vibration. YOUR drum is calling you. Birth your own ethically sourced animal hide drum during a 6-day retreat to connect with the earth, the animals and the plant medicines of the land…. You will sit in the circle way with others called to the central fire. We will sing , we will untangle our pasts and learn to reweave our futures, in time with the heart beats of our cosmic and earthly grandmothers. This is a time to heal intergenerational and other traumas, to renew the umbilical cord to the mother and to ourselves.

Begin your Journey…
Day 1: Welcome and Purification
We will gather together and then prepare our bodies and materials for our time together, allowing time for rest, nourishment and to set intentions for this sacred time.
Day 2: Water And Drums
All life begins in water, so we will submerge ourselves and drums in purifying and life giving water. Tara will lead us as we learn about and begin to make your drum!
Day 3: Earth
Connect with wisdom of all living things as we explore the Grand Mesa, and gather for a Sustainablity workshop to empower your to protect the Earth!
Day 4: Air
Prepare for your drum quest by hiking to the aspen tree to recieve its medicine to incoporate into your drums beater and personal healing. Midnight Cermony to connect with the Moon and experience dream work.
Day 5: Fire
Complete your drum birth by adorning it with the elements and revelations you have gathered then be refined in the final Fire ceremony.
Day 6: Reflections & Farewell
Move at your own pace to reflect on your experiences, friendships and revelations cultivated during your retreat. Many guest have found and formed long lasting connections through Drum Birthing!
